Da-Ray:
Da-Ray is a swampy, jungle covered world. It doesn't have many soaring mountain ranges, but volcanos and low, rugged volcanic ranges are common. The seas are very deep and teem with life. It constantly rains here, and the temperatures almost always hover around a hundred degrees or more.
This world is a swamp dweller's paradise. Few of the sentient creatures here evolved here, though. Most originally come from other worlds. Races like huraweet, erdascorpions and lizardmen are common here. The lizardmen, erdascorpions and huraweet originally came from other worlds and found Da-Ray to their liking, so they stayed.
Most of the lizardmen later degenerated into savages, though a small handful of intelligent space-faring lizardmen still lives on the planet. Some are extremely advanced, but their population is very small. The lizardmen also brought crabmen and bullywug slaves with them. Many of these slaves escaped during the constant wars between the lizardmen, and have established their own primitive tribes scattered over the planet.
There are also large native archeti nations and city-states in the seas of Da-Ray. They are the only sentient race known to have evolved on this world. Some of them possess spellships, and occasionally they make a menace of themselves elsewhere in the star system. Every other race on the planet, no matter how evil that race or tribe may be, sees the archeti the worst and most dangerous race, the root of everything evil. No one will interact with them except the most debased, evil individuals.
The erdascorpions have half a dozen or so large cities here, which contain the main spaceports of this world. Other than the erdascorpions in the cities, though, there are no other erdascorpions here, like primitive tribal erdascorpions. They are the most civilized race on Da-Ray, but they control little beyond the area immediately around their city-states. Beyond their small islands of civilization, plus two or three cities that are populated by lizardmen who did not devolve into savagery and a scattering of semi-civilized huraweet nations, the rest of the planet is wild and primitive.
The huraweet nations don't build anything larger than villages, small towns or fortified strongholds. They have no large cities like the erdascorpions and lizardmen. Many huraweet are tribal and live in primitive lairs and settlements. Even the biggest huraweet nations tend to keep to themselves. They mind their own business and rarely interact with outsiders. They trade with other huraweet nations, with any peaceful tribe and with the erdascorpoion and lizardman city-states, but beyond trade they have little interaction with others. Small groups of them do grow weary of their simple lives, though, and move to the city-states where they live in huraweet neighborhoods or hire on with spellships for adventure.
