Vrithrip:
Vrithrip is also known as Vyani. This is a jungle world with lower than normal gravity. There are more oceans here than land. The vast oceans tend to be shallow, however, with plentiful reefs and expansive swamp regions where the land meets water. Island-sized masses of floating vegetation are common on the sea's surface. Some of these mats are hundreds of miles across.
This world has an extensive network of caverns beneath its surface that is filled with air or water and life, and the world itself is hollow.
The crust of this world is several hundred miles thick and is riddled with caverns. Huge caves that are hundreds of miles across and dozens of miles high are common. They are often full of thick jungles, teeming fungal forests and subterranean seas. In some places native minerals give off light, so some of these caverns are brighter than day.
Below the crust, in the center of the world, is a huge, hollow void with a ghost-like, whispy, copper-colored "sun" in the middle of the void. Gravity works so that the "down" direction is away from the inner sun and towards the inner surface of the void. Like the caverns, the void is filled with air and life. A complete terra world spreads out here. Jungles, tropical swamps, vast oceans and volcanic wastelands are the most common types of terrain.
There are wide entrances to the hollow interior of this world at both of its poles. They are both several miles across and their edges are curved. Gravity always points down along this curve. One could walk, swim or sail from the outer surface to the inner surface and gravity would never change and would always hold them on the planet. The ground or sea would always seem to be below them. The area around and in the holes is always shrouded in fog and full of lightning and strange magnetic phenomena. It often rains here as the warm air from the interior meets the colder air of the outer surface.
The insects on this planet grow huge, because of the high oxygen levels in the atmosphere, and huge sea beasts feed upon them and everything else. Sea sprites and sea elves live in the oceans, too, on both the interior and outside surfaces of the planet.
Two amphibian races that live on this world, the bullywug race and gribbog race, have learned how travel in space. The larger, more evil bullywugs dominate, but the gribbog race manages to hold them off and keep from being completely overran. Since these two races like the same types of worlds and environments they tend to clash throughout the Shining Wyrm. Approximately one billion of the seven and a half billion space faring creatures on this planet are gribbogs and the rest are bullywugs. They live on both the interior and outside surfaces of the planet
The gribbogs are peaceful and will treat anyone who does not attack them in a friendly way. They will trade with any non-hostile ships that reach their spaceport cities and assist friendly travelers. The bullywugs are always hostile and predatory. Fortunately, they are not too bright, and are easy to outwit if one does not wish to defeat them in open battle. They tend to depend on numbers and brute force over thinking and strategy. The gribbogs have been outwitting them for millenia.
