Sete: This is a noxious, highly volcanic world with a thick atmosphere. The air is not breathable because there are high levels of toxic gasses from the volcanos. The oxygen level is also high enough to be poisonous. The high oxygen levels combine with the volcanic activity to create a new hazard on this world - fire storms. These storms rage through the atmosphere on a regular basis. On some worlds it rains water. Here, the air bursts into fire.

This would seem like a world where no sentient races can survive. It is not true, however. For example, there are extensive firenewt nations all over this planet. Most of them are primitive tribes and bands, but many of them are gathered into nations of millions that sprawl over and underneath the volcanic wastes of this world. Though none of them have any interest in space travel, they do dabble in travel and trade with other firey worlds using dimensional travel, magical gateways or they travel to other worlds by going through vortices to the elemental plane of fire and the para-elemental plane of magma.

There are also other nations of heat-loving sentient races here, including salamanders, magmen and lava children. None of these nations are as large or powerful as the firenewt nations, but some of them are still formidable. The lava children are fairly rare. They live in a scattering of city-states instead of nations. There are a few efreeti outposts here, around three or four. These outposts are always at war with each other, spending their time trying to destroy each other. They care little for the other inhabitants of this planet unless they are using them as cannon fodder in their wars.

Fire-loving dragons are common here, too. Some of them are worshipped by the local races, but most are solitary.
